Angela was known as Akari as a kid, it was a nickname that her mom had given her as a kid. She often prefers to be called by her nicknames by people closest to her (Ang, Ange, Akari).

Angela has an odd accent. It’s a cross between an Texan and Canadian. Makes her speak a little weirdly sometimes. Gives her little twangs or tweaks in her speech.

Angela moved to Waffle Island because she loved waffles (predictably). Most of her friends live on Castanet though, which was the reason why she moved there.

Angela is a sweet, outgoing girl. Some may say  little happy-go-lucky. She doesn’t have many secrets and is a pretty much open book. If you ask her the right question, she’ll tell you all you want to know! (within reason, some things you just don’t want to tell….)

Angela is one of the biggest klutzes you will ever meet. People are often amazed at how she can trip over nothing. Many a fall and cut have landed her at the clinic and she always admires/respects Jin for putting up with her and always being right.

Angela is difficult to catch off guard. Her open personality seems to shield her from surprises like she absorbs it. When someone does though it is usually a worthy surprise and 70% of the time have to do with something suggestive, proceeding to make her blush. She also is very weird and is good at understanding other weird people.

Angela hates liars and can tell when you lie to her.

Angela is not easily offended/put off by rude people. She gets that some people don’t like to share and respects that. She can usually weasel her was in, though.

Angela goes at her own pace and hates being forced into doing stuff she doesn’t want to do. A little spontaneity is fine but there’s a line. And you do not cross that line. Ever.

Angela doesn’t have the best relationship with her parents. In fact, she downright hates them due to how she was treated from when she was 11 to when she left home.

Angela left home just after graduating high school at seventeen, she traveled for two years. Just wandering, going from small town to small town, usually staying in hovels or B&Bs. sometimes an old time-y inn. Working odd jobs for money and eventually settling down on Waffle Island but them moves to Castanet to be with the friends she had met previously when visiting.

During these travels she met her first boyfriend named Christian. They had a sad break up, she truly loved him.

Angela is the type not to like to put full faith and devotion to something that there is no solid proof it exists. She’s not pushy or especially devout but she does love the Harvest Goddess and God as deities. Seeing as she can see them and they appear before her, she has no problem with that religion, knowing they’re real.

The headcannon above being said, Angela is intelligent, but can sometimes be rather air-headed. Not intentionally of course, but some things just escape her. You never really know when it’s going to hit…
